GROUP COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION OF
PHASE ONE OF THE LARGEST OFFICE COMPLEX IN
SAN LEANDRO
$10.8-million facility delivered on time at a 10% cost savings
SAN CARLOS, CA -- (June 10, 2002). Wentz Group, a leading
California-based general contractor for 28 years, recently completed the first phase of
the Creekside Plaza Office Park for Creekside Associates, LLC. Located on approximately
6.4 acres at the northwest corner of Davis Street and San Leandro Boulevard in San
Leandro, construction began May 2001.

preconstruction services and value engineering has consistently saved me money," said
David Irmer, a co-partner of Creekside Associates, LLC. "The Creekside Plaza
project was delivered on time and at a 10% cost savings that unexpectedly
boosted our profits on this job."
Designed by MCG Architects, Phase One consists of a structural steel,
100,360 square-foot office building and 65,507 square-foot parking structure. The
architectural theme is Mediterranean, featuring an open-air plaza and fountain. Balconies,
wrought iron railings, arched doorways, tinted aqua blue windows as well as red tiled
roofs accent the buildings as a beautifully designed urban office development. The
two-level, 115-stall separate parking structure was constructed of steel with a precast
panel exterior to match the office building. A series of walkways intersect with the
charming creekwalk, running along San Leandro Creek. Phase Two will consist of two
additional 52,000 square foot buildings and construction is scheduled to commence late
this year.
The building interior was designed by Dumas and Associates of San Jose.
The four-story building features an 1,800 square-foot lobby fashioned in earth tones,
natural Italian stone floors with an inlayed mosaic medallion design and two dramatic
bronze chandeliers. TriNet Group, Inc. has acquired the entire third and fourth floors,
which accounts for 50,000 square-feet. The space is decorated in neutral colors with maple
accents and floor to ceiling glazed glass walls, which allow the natural light to shine
throughout the office. The TriNet space includes 20 private offices, 10 conference rooms,
8 private phone rooms, 4 open lounge areas, a boardroom which accommodates 50 people and a
lunchroom with an outdoor covered patio.
"Wentz Group provided design/build services for the mechanical,
electrical and plumbing systems and assisted in the design of the steel and skin
structural system", said Mike Koski, project executive for Wentz Group. "As a
team, we worked very closely with the developer and architect on Creekside Plaza and the
project was completed on time and on budget."
